May and June are super fun months for us in third grade! After finishing our Daily Routine projects, we started reading a story called The Monster Under My Bed in our Story Fun workbooks. It was a funny story that taught us about asking for help and being brave. We even made a poster about a monster's daily routine! Next, we played games to review our Daily Routines vocabulary. Miss Marianne made a lot of different activities to practice in new and exciting ways! Currently, we are finishing up another story in our Story Fun books. We read High Five!, a story about trying new things and congratulating others. Classes are working on posters that show new sports that we want to try! Our next unit will be about numbers. We will start working in our booklets next week. In a few weeks, we will share more information about the assessment. It will be a listening and reading comprehension assessment. We are looking forward to having a lot of fun doing activities to practice our numbers and reading strategies in order to prepare!
As always, if you have any concerns or questions you can contact Miss Karen or Miss Marianne.

In English class, we have been working on our Daily Routines projects for the past two weeks. The project has a written component (a poster) and an oral component (a presentation) where students will share sentences about the activities they do throughout the day. Students are currently working on their drafts in their Daily Routines booklets and beginning to write their sentences on their posters. The oral presentations will be on the following days: April 16th and 17th: 3rd A, 3rd B, and 3rd D |

We are excited to hear everyone's presentations and look at the posters!
